BuruOps Intelligence Lab is committed to ensuring that neither modern slavery, servitude, forced labor, nor human trafficking exists in any part of our operations, research facilities, or global technology supply chains.
1. Organisational Structure & Operations
BuruOps Intelligence Lab operates as an elite technical research, cloud architecture, and cybersecurity engineering capability under the corporate umbrella of Mtengwa Strategic Advisory. Our primary operational focus is high-assurance systems architecture, software security auditing, DevSecOps pipeline automation, and applied artificial intelligence governance.
Given the highly specialized technical nature of our work, our internal workforce comprises highly skilled cybersecurity practitioners, cloud architects, and software engineers engaged under fair, competitive UK employment terms and independent consultant contracts.
2. Our Global Technology Supply Chain
While our direct operations are low-risk for forced labor, we recognize that global technology supply chains carry inherent vulnerabilities, particularly in hardware assembly, raw materials extraction, and outsourced facilities management. Our supply chain primarily comprises:
- Hyperscale Cloud & Telecommunications: Tier-1 cloud infrastructure and transit providers (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Cloudflare, Equinix).
- Hardware & Server Infrastructure: Enterprise computing hardware, cryptographic security keys (Yubico), and testing workstations procured through certified UK distributors.
- Software Engineering & SaaS: Enterprise development tooling, code repository hosts (GitHub), collaboration suites, and specialized security fuzzing suites.
- Professional Technical Contractors: Vetted independent UK and international penetration testers and specialist security researchers.
3. Rigorous Supply Chain Due Diligence
We exercise thorough due diligence before entering into commercial engagements with suppliers and vendors:
Supplier Code of Conduct & Verification
We require all key technology suppliers and subcontractors to attest to their compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, the International Labour Organization (ILO) Core Conventions, and local employment statutory minimums.
Living Wage Commitment
BuruOps is committed to paying all direct team members and on-site contractors at or above the UK Real Living Wage as calculated independently by the Living Wage Foundation.
Ethical Hardware Sourcing
We prioritize hardware manufacturers who publish comprehensive EICC/RBA conflict minerals reports and audited modern slavery statements confirming zero child or debt-bonded labor in their fabrication facilities.
4. Risk Assessment & Mitigation
We conduct annual supply chain risk assessments to evaluate geographic and sector-specific risk factors. Any prospective supplier operating in high-risk territories or exhibiting obscure labor recruitment practices is subjected to enhanced compliance interrogation. We reserve the immediate right to terminate contracts without penalty if a vendor is found to tolerate modern slavery or human trafficking.
5. Whistleblowing & Safe Reporting
We encourage all employees, contractors, and third parties to report any concerns or suspicions regarding modern slavery or labor exploitation within our operations or supply chain. Reports can be submitted confidentially through our Whistleblowing Portal with complete statutory anti-retaliation protections.
6. Executive Board Approval & Signature
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the current financial year. It has been approved by the Principal Leadership and will be reviewed annually.
